Amit kumar was born on 3 July 1952 in Kolkata, West Bengal India. His father Kishor Kumar is an Excellent singer. And his mother was a homemaker. Amit kumar was a promising child, So he was fond of singing in childhood. He did his early education at the Sun And Drill Basant Montesary School. And did further studied from St. Xavier’s School Hazaribag. He completed his studies from South Point School in Kolkata.
Kumar was born to Ruma Guha, Kishor Kumar’s first wife. Divorce was taken by Kishor Kumar and Ruma Guha. That’s why Amit’s parents separated in childhood. So Amit started living near his mother in Kolkata. His father Kishor moved to Mumbai. Despite being apart, both of them got a lot of love.
His father did not know about his singing talent. Once during Durga Puja, Amit decided to sing on stage. The Program of Durga Puja was organized by the legendary actor Uttam Kumar.
